About Us
Our Church

Welcome to the Family!
We think of our congregation as a family; we are sisters and brothers in Christ. We extend a warm welcome for you to join us as we gather to sing and worship Jesus Christ in our beautiful sanctuary. We offer two services of uplifting worship in different styles. Praise and Thanksgiving (8:00 am) is an intimate, relaxed gathering of praise and holy communion in a contemporary style. The later service is a more formal style using a variety of liturgies to proclaim the Word and celebrate the Sacrament of holy communion.

Saron has a rich history in the Escalon community and was organized in 1909. The presence of Jesus has sustained several

generations and leads us into the future. We are blessed with people of all ages and many talents in our congregation. Opportunities are offered to gather for warm fellowship, Bible study and service. Sunday School is held between our two services from September to May and provides for continued growth in faith for ages three through adult. Our growing weekly youth program is an exciting priority in this congregation.

Saron is a group of caring people and it is important to us that you feel welcome. Together we seek to live our faith and show concern for those in need through prayer and action. Come join us!

Worship
Worship is the central act of our congregation; we gather together as we offer our praise and thanks to the Lord and hear God's word for our lives.

The Sacrament of Holy Communion is offered each Sunday for those who desire. At our contemporary service we use intinction, dipping the host into a cup of wine or grapejuice. At the traditional service, wine is served by common cup or individual glasses (which you are asked to collect as you come to the altar; this glass is also used by those who desire grapejuice). Please notify the ushers if you would like to receive the sacrament in your pew. Those who are not yet communing are encouraged to receive a blessing.

Child care is available during Sunday School and Worship Services. A social hour follows both services and coffee, punch and cookies are usually offered.

Ongoing Activities

Fellowship Circle
Fellowship Circle generally meets the second Saturday of each month. It is a potluck dinner open to all church members, their families, and friends. Two individuals or families are asked to host the event by providing dessert and beverages; also to decorate and set the tables. Members are asked to bring a hotdish or salad. Volunteers are asked to sign up to provide a program (educational or entertaining). The church picnic, Men's Feed, and Open House at the Parsonage are some of their annual events.
